I know I have not been very good about blogging but we've been very busy. School started again which is always a big weight lifted off my shoulders, the kids were reaaaaaaaaaaaady. Hailee seems ot have a much easier time with homework this year, I am not sure if they have less homework or if she got that much smarter, maybe a combo of both. She is doing really well this year in every subject. She just seems to get it. Her organizational skills are still a major lack and it drives me crazy but my mom is always real quick to remind me that that was me and now I am a control freak about everything so I can organize it. She is in dance again, she is doing tap, jazz, and clogging. She seems to enjoy it. She also has girl scouts on Mondays where she bridged to a brownie instead of a daisy this year. Wednesdays she has a church group that meets from 6-8 and they do all sorts of things, it's sort of like an all year round vacation bible school. She really enjoys that and she gets to spend that time with her best friend. So she is a busy girl.
Carter is still enjoying preschool, he was old enough to go to kindergarten but we didn't feel that he was ready for that yet so we held him back one more year. He doesn't care he looooooooooooves hios teachers. He tells everyone he meets that they are his girlfriends. He also tells everyone that he is gonna marry "Wedah" (her name is actually Aleyah) who is Hailee's best friend. He plays soccer and he is awesome at it. He wasn't into it last year but this year it clicked and the kid can play some ball. I wonder if it's hereditary. He has games on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. He really enjoys playing. I will have to get the video and pictures uploaded of him playing some ball. Its pretty cute.
Brooklyn is soooooooooooooooo much fun to be around, she has the sweetest personality. I love all my children equally but Brooklyn is by far the sweetest natured. She is learning new things everyday and has quite the personality. We have nicknamed her "chitty baby" like off of "chitty chitty bang bang." She has really strted to not like wearing diapers. Evertime I go get her from her crib at naptime or in the morning she is stark naked she has taken all her clothes off. So within a month or so we are gonna start potty training her, I know it seems early but she is ready. She tells us about it. She knows what it going on. She is talking more and more she can say alot of things. She thinks its funny to call me "Nik" instead of mom. Nik is what Jason calls me so she repeats him and thinks its pretty humorous.
Jason is keeping busy at work, he has been on alot of business trips lately, which means I have to pull double duty and play mom and dad. Actually we have kind of got into a routine with him being gone so it doesn't both me so much anymore. He coaches Carter's soccer team so when he is gone I have to coach and I know nothing about soccer so that is always an interesting experience. My parents came up and helped with the other two while I coached his team a couple THursday's ago. Jason is leaving tomorrow morning for Canada and then the week after he is going to Wisconsin so send me soem prayers and good vibes that we all come out alive and with a little sanity left. The thing I miss the most when he is gone is my social time at the gym because our gym does not have daycare ( can you believe that) and I don't really enjoy my alone time, I am too much of a social creature. I do have four books to read (three now I finished one last night) and some bibs to sew so hopefully that will keep me busy. Things all and all are pretty good at Casa de Hablitzel, we feel pretty blessed.
