I know, I know long time no post
I havent blogged for over a month. So I guess its time for an update. We will start with 'My Mini", she is finally walking, she had been able to walk since she was one but has refused to use it as her main source of travel. I think its because she can crawl much faster. She still kind of walks like a penguin, but its awfully cute. She is such a joy. It is very obvious that she is the baby of a larger family because she is extremely spoiled. All she has to do is whine and Big Brother and Big Sister (or me) are right there to please her every need and want. She still would prefer to be carried rather than get somewhere on her own which as the baby I rather enjoy. At her last doctor appt in early March she weighed in at exactly 20 lbs so she is still pretty petite. She has been sick alot lately and spent the night last night in the ER, the poor pumkin has a full blown sinus infection and is on lots of medicine, but she is catching up on sleep today so hopefully that combined with the medicine will kick the infection. Carter is really enjoying Preschool and absolutely adores his teachers. He is constantly talking about them andrepeating what they say. He has lots of friends at school, but his best friend moved to Grand Island so he was pretty upset about that. He is learning alot, he knows all his alphabet, can write his name and is learning ot spell his last name, poor kid. Know all his colors and shapes, his numbers he has difficulty with. He will be going ot Preschool one more year, he is old enough to go to Kindergarten but I dont think he is ready. soccer will start in a few weeks so he has his cleats and everything he needs to play radily accessible. Jason has coached his team, they both enjoy it. He also is old enough to play T-Ball this summer. He is incredibly coordinated and is gonna be a major athlete, I dont think there is gonna be a sport that he is not good at. Hailee is in 1st grade and is being challenged on a daily basis. She is very smart but is a tad bit lazy. They have a spelling test every Thursday and Friday and she was doing awful on the tests and I knew she knew how ot spell them because we would have a little test of our own the night before and she would rattle them off without any trouble. One day I got a thought in my head; bribery; For every five tests that she got 100% on she would get a reward of her choice. It worked, next parent teacher conference her spelling average had gone from a 71% to 100%. Like I said a little lazy. Math she is an absolute genious she is so much like Jason it is unreal. She is still in dance at the same place but we added another class. She does Ballet, Tap, and clogging, her recital is at the end of April. She is pretty excited to wear her costume and get a little makeup on. Jason has a birthday coming up on Tuesday. He has been veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery busy at work, which is a sign of good things. It makes for really long days for both of us.
